Kevin M. Anderson

Criminal Defense Attorney

Kevin M. Anderson is a native of Portland, Oregon. After graduating from Jesuit High School, he sought to escape the Oregon rain by attending Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas; there he met his wife of twenty years. In 2008, Kevin received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law where he was a member of the Executive Board and Technical Editor of the Transportation Law Journal.

After law school, Kevin joined Anderson and Yamada, P.C. in Portland where he practiced transportation law representing trucking companies and freight brokers for twelve years. As a transportation lawyer he was nationally recognized as a leading cargo claim litigator, prosecuting and defending numerous Carmack Amendment claims.

After over a decade of practicing law as a civil transportation attorney, he left the practice of law right before the pandemic to start a silvo-pastured pig ranch. Four years later, the hogs are still in the forest while Kevin finds himself back in the courtroom.

In 2022 Kevin joined Cornerstone Law Group as a criminal defense attorney. Having interned with the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender for two years during law school, he was excited to return to helping people navigate the criminal justice system.

Having found his legal niche in criminal defense, Kevin establed Prodigal Law in January of 2024. An attentive listener, Kevin works closely with his clients to ensure their cases are resolved in a manner that places them in the best position for success moving forward.

Kevin is just as comfortable in the courtroom as he is in the pig paddock;
ready and willing to do the hard work with a smile on his face.
